Direct push technology allows for a wide variety of direct push tooling and instrumentation to be advanced into a subsurface lithology. This is conducted using a combination of the static weight of a direct push drill rig, hydraulic down pressure, and rapid hydraulic hammering.
Compared to conventional drilling activities, direct push technology is less labor intensive, offers quicker setup time, is easier to decontaminate and maintain tooling, and generates significantly less drill cuttings.
